ISO-26262 Automotive Functional Safety Compliance

Rinehart Motion has invested heavily in training and Certification of personnel, in process development, and in infrastructure changes to address the modern demand for functionally safe products.

Procedures, Processes, Forms, Project Gate Review, Project Management

Rinehart Motion partnered with an experienced engineering services team at LHP Engineering, and participated in their "Functional Safety Expressway" program.  For us, it was an intense course in Functional Safety as it is applies to automotive propulsion system product and system development.  New and more rigorous software development processes for safety compliance, formal verification and validation processes, and - most important - a deep dive into the ISO26262 Standard itself, were all required, and built, with LHP assistance.

Software Development for ASIL Compliance

RMS is now qualified to develop products and provide engineering services on safety-relevant product design to any ASIL level.  We have a processor platform and toolchain available, or we can accommodate a specific processor or programmable hardware + processor core you require.
Code can be developed in C, or in a Model-Based approach when required.

Integration, Verification, and Validation

Safety-Relevant products are always required to follow a formal verification and validation process to ensure the product, and the vehicle it is use in, meet the vehicle OEM's Safety Goals.
